The site is located in a block near the Takamatsu District Court. The site of this project is a trapezoidal land that has been cut off by the town distribution centered on the Tamamo Castle and the postwar zoning.
In architecture, it is often said that a lot of blank space is rich, but I decided to make different choice on the planning a law office on this trapezoidal site. Because office supplies and documents are made of rectangles, it is more flexible to office plans in square. Using the trapezoid as it is in the planning will create weird margins and lose freedom of spaces. Add to this, it is also economic wealth not to put construction costs in the margin.
The appearance of the frame was a gated trapezoid, and cube rooms were placed as if inserted into it.
A “truly square” without weird margin is one of the answers that fit with a program of law offices.
